The Agency Public Library has welcomed Diane Olson as the newest member of its Board of Trustees.
Olson was selected by the Library Board and officially appointed by the Mayor and City Council. She will help the board guide the library and support its mission of providing educational opportunities, enrichment and a place for people in the community to connect.
Library Director Kathleen Caldwell said she is excited to have Olson join the board.
“We are thrilled to welcome our new trustee to the board,” Caldwell said. “We are looking forward to working with Diane as the library continues to serve our community.”
The Library Board of Trustees plays an important role in helping oversee the library. Board members work with the Library Director on policies, long-term planning and other decisions that help ensure the library continues to meet the needs of local residents.
Board members volunteer their time and bring their experience and knowledge to help support the library and its role in the community.
Library Board meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.
