The holiday season will get a rock-and-roll twist when Blue Violin brings its 4th Annual Retro Rock & Roll Christmas Tour to Bridge View Center in Ottumwa on Friday, December 11, at 7 p.m.
Following sold-out performances at venues ranging from the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall to Prague and Iceland, the internationally touring violin sensation returns with an electrifying holiday spectacular that combines the excitement of an 80s arena rock concert with the magic of Christmas.
The production features a live rock band, soaring choir, stunning cathedral projection mapping and Blue Violin’s signature violin performances. Audiences can expect a cinematic reimagining of Christmas classics mixed with music from legendary artists including Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, Kate Bush, Wham! and Tears for Fears, along with favorite holiday songs.
Organizers describe the show as a high-energy Christmas experience designed to bring together the excitement of classic rock and the spirit of the holiday season.
