Quilters and fabric enthusiasts will have an opportunity to meet a nationally recognized quilt designer during “An Evening with Designer Michael Nardi” on Tuesday, September 1, in Ottumwa.
Michael Nardi, owner of Bryn Mawr Quilts and a fabric designer for Andover Fabrics, will share his experience, creativity and passion for custom quilt design during the special presentation. Nardi has also been featured in American Patchwork & Quilting magazine.
Organizers say they first met Nardi while he was teaching at Missouri Star Quilt Company and were impressed by his energy, talent and enthusiasm for quilting. They wanted to bring that same inspiration to the Ottumwa community.
The presentation begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m., at Grace Ottumwa, 13133 Angle Road. The facility is located on the north edge of Ottumwa, across from Cedar Creek Golf Course.
Admission is $5 per person. Quilting guild members and anyone interested in quilting are encouraged to attend.
