Ottumwa Schools is recognizing five staff members for their outstanding work and dedication to students and the school district.
The September Employees of the Month are:
- Katy Grindle – Evans Junior High School Secretary
- Sarah Hazelwood – Fahrney Elementary Third Grade Teacher
- Paula Hoff – Ottumwa High School Spanish Teacher
- Kolby Mercer – Youth Engagement Coordinator
- Mariann Valdez – Fahrney Elementary Diversity Advocate
The employees will be recognized during the Ottumwa School Board meeting on Monday, September 28, at 6 p.m. at Career Campus.
Family members, coworkers, and community members are encouraged to attend the meeting or watch online as the district celebrates the contributions of these staff members.
Ottumwa Schools also invites the community to nominate employees who go above and beyond in their work. Nominations can be submitted through the Employee Nomination form, available under the Quick Links section at ottumwaschools.com .
