Ottumwa HyVee’s: South HyVee on Quincy Avenue and Drugstore on the corner of Pennsylvania and Jefferson, along with Ottumwa Radio Group, want to congratulate the Moravia Baseball squad, our 97.7 TOM-FM Team of the Week!
The Mohawks edged North Mahaska 5-4 last Tuesday, then beat Pekin 9-1 on Saturday to win the Class 1A District 14 title. Moravia went on to beat Martensdale-Saint Mary’s 2-1 this week and will be going to the state tournament for the first time since 1988. The Mohawks are currently riding a 22-game winning streak.
