Two Fairfield girls soccer standouts have earned Class 1A All-State Honorable Mention recognition following a strong 2026 season that saw the Trojans post their best record in several years.

Junior Emma Metcalf and sophomore Lexi Mast both earned All-State Honorable Mention honors after leading Fairfield to a 6-10-1 record — the program’s most wins since the 2018-19 season when the Trojans went 7-7.

Metcalf led the team with 21 goals and eight assists for 50 points on the season, while Mast added 15 goals and 13 assists for 43 points. Metcalf’s 21-goal season is the most by a Fairfield player since Kristin Brunstedt scored 23 in 2018-19 — a mark that had gone largely unchallenged until this season.

The Trojans made it to the second round of the postseason after a dominant 11-1 first round victory over Central Lee. Mast was nearly unstoppable in that game, tallying six goals and an assist, while Metcalf added two goals and three assists. Fairfield’s run came to an end in the second round with an 11-1 loss to Regina Catholic.

Both Metcalf and Mast will return to the pitch for Fairfield next spring, giving the Trojans a strong foundation to build on heading into the 2027 season.
