Tony Dean Wilson, born on October 29, 1958, in Iowa City, IA, lived a life filled with adventure, laughter, and love. Known for his witty humor, supportive nature, and infectious love for life, Tony made every moment count. He was an extraordinary individual whose life was defined by his dedication to his family. He was a loving husband, a supportive father, and a devoted grandfather.

Tony was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He spent his career working for over 30 years at Universal Rundle before retiring from Dr Pepper in 2023. But his true passion was found in the great outdoors. Whether he was kayaking down a tranquil river, rock hunting in the wide-open west, hiking through untamed wilderness, or paddleboarding on a serene lake, Tony was in his element. Yet, he was not a man to keep his love for the wilderness to himself. His adventurous spirit was contagious, and he loved nothing more than sharing his passion with his beautiful family. Tony was also known for his love of music, often attending concerts with friends and family. His love for plants, books, and attending the various sports and activities of his children and grandchildren are memories that will continue to bring joy and laughter to all who were lucky enough to know him.

Tony will be fondly remembered as the amazing and supportive husband of 41 years to Stacy Wilson, and the witty and loving father to Nicolette (Jason) Proctor, Jessica Wilson, Sarah (Jason) Petalas. He was also the joke-telling, fun-loving grandfather of Zander Proctor, Austin Westmoreland, Zoey Proctor, and Gracie Petalas. Tony also leaves behind his brothers Terry (Julie) Wilson and Jack Wilson, and his sister Karen Wilson; along with many nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Serena Wilson, and his siblings Ernie Martsching, Cheryl Brandt, and Donald Wilson. His family was his heart, and his heart was his family’s home.

His body has been cremated and services are not planned at this time.

Tony Wilson, a man of wit, love and adventure, has left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all those who knew him. His spirit will continue to echo through the laughter and love he shared with us all. We invite you to share your memories, and upload photos of Tony on his memorial page. Every rock, every river, every joke, every memory counts – just as Tony would have wanted.
