Thomas Edward Sinnott was born on November 22, 1948, in Albia, Iowa. He attended Albia high school and continued his education to achieve his Associates degree. He left this earth May 29, 2026 surrounded by family. Tom, a loving husband of 54 years, proud father, and doting grandfather, resided in West Des Moines, Iowa, where he left a lasting impact on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.

Tom, a retired insurance agent in Denison Iowa, was known for the connections he built with his clients. A devout Irish Catholic, Tom was an avid Yankees fan, a golf lover, and had an ability to turn every acquaintance into a friend.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sinnott, his three daughters, Michelle (Paul) Howard, Melissa Carstens, and Melinda (Jennifer) Sinnomyer, and his grandchildren, Noah Carstens and fiancé Allyson Way, and Emma Carstens. He is also survived by his sister Jackie and his brothers, Mike (Cathy) and Ed. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He joins his parents, Ed and Betty Rose Sinnott, in heavenly peace. In the words of an Irish blessing, “May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

As we mourn the loss of Tom, let us also celebrate his life, his love, and his unending resilience. We invite you to share your memories, stories, or photos of Tom on his memorial page. These contributions will serve as a reminder of the impact Tom had on our lives, his enduring love for his family, and his unmatched wit and generosity. His spirit lives on in each of us, and together, we can keep his memory alive. Please join us in remembering and honoring the remarkable life of Thomas Sinnott.
A private graveside service will be held. Memorials may be directed to family for future designation.
