While our hearts are saddened by the loss, we celebrate the life of Janet Lorraine Hollinrake, 64, who passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born on July 13, 1961, in Davenport, Iowa, Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and caring nature touched many throughout her life. Family was important to Janet, and she enjoyed spending time with those she loved.
Janet especially enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for family and friends. She also loved spending time thrift shopping, exploring garage sales, and being outdoors with her beloved dog, Gracie. Over the years, Janet lived in Donahue, Albia, and Lovilia, Iowa. While she spent the majority of her years in Albia, she ultimately settled in Lovilia, Iowa.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica (Brian) Geiken and Desiree Shives; her grandchildren, Blakely, Abigail, Zachary, and Zane; her half-sisters, Christine Robinson and Deborah Tucker; and her brothers, Dax and John Janakas.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Hollinrake; her son, Mark Feldpausch; and her parents, John and Patricia Janakas.
Janet will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Per Janet’s wishes, no services will be held. The family appreciates the many thoughts, prayers, and expressions of sympathy during this time. Condolences may be shared with her daughters and family.
