Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is sponsoring ServSafe®, the national certification program for food service managers. The course will be held on September 17 at Mahaska County Extension Office located at 212 N. I Street in Oskaloosa. All food service operations are required to have at least one certified staff person. Anyone interested in preparing and serving safe food is welcome to attend.
The cost of the course is $175, which includes 8 hours of class time, a manual, and the national certification exam. There is a discounted rate of $150 available for Iowa Restaurant Association members with verification prior to class. Registration is required by August 27.
