Josh Turek for Iowa announced raising more than $1 million in less than 48 hours as small-dollar donations surged following Josh’s “dominant” primary victory where he carried 96 of Iowa’s 99 counties.
In the first 48 hours of the general election, the campaign raised more than $1 million from over 16,000 individual donations. Since the campaign’s launch, more than 62,000 donors have chipped in to support Josh, highlighting the grassroots nature of this campaign.
The outpouring of grassroots support comes after Josh’s victory triggered both Cook Political Report and Saboto’s Crystal Ball to shift the race towards Turek, citing his “history of winning in areas President Donald Trump carried” and “an increasingly favorable” environment. Dave Wasserman put it simply: “Iowa is probably the single most important state of 2026.”
“Iowans are ready to elect a U.S. Senator who will go to Washington to work for them, not the billionaires and large corporations. Josh’s compelling personal story, his experience overcoming long odds, and his commitment to fighting for the little guy is clearly resonating with folks across Iowa,” said Josh Turek for Iowa Campaign Manager Brendan Koch. “With a strong foundation of grassroots support, we will continue to build a campaign that will finally stop Ashley Hinson from enriching herself while hurting Iowans, and send Josh Turek to the U.S. Senate.”
