A Pella man is facing a serious misdemeanor charge after authorities say he exposed himself to a woman inside an elevator at Pella Regional Health Center earlier this week.

On June 16 at approximately 6:17 a.m., the Pella Police Department was dispatched to Pella Regional Health Center, located in the 400 block of Jefferson Street in Pella, following a report of indecent exposure.

According to a criminal complaint, Blake Evans, 38, of Pella, had recently been discharged from the hospital.

Court documents allege that Evans was riding in an elevator with the victim when he unzipped his pants and exposed his genitals to her. The complaint further states that the victim observed Evans viewing pornography at the time of the incident.

Evans is currently being held in the Marion County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

A no-contact order between Evans and the victim was issued on June 16.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 26.

Evans is charged with indecent exposure, a serious misdemeanor.
