A Keosauqua man is facing a felony stalking charge following an alleged pattern of harassment spanning nearly a year.
Jason Shipley, 49, has been charged with Stalking — Violation of Protective Order, a Class C Felony. The alleged conduct spans from July 8th, 2025 through June 5th, 2026.
According to court documents, Shipley repeatedly drove past or in the vicinity of the victim’s residence while she was outside, sent harassing messages including threats warning her against pursuing criminal charges, and sent messages via Snapchat to the victim’s relative asking them to relay messages to the victim. An active no contact order is in place between Shipley and the victim, according to court documents. Despite that order, mail addressed to the victim but delivered to Shipley’s address was repeatedly placed on the victim’s vehicle at both her place of employment and her residence.
Court documents also note that Shipley has pending Harassment, Violation of No Contact Order, and Witness Tampering cases all involving the same victim. Authorities mentioned that following a court appearance on the Witness Tampering case on June 5th, Shipley allegedly made a public post on Facebook stating: “I gave every opportunity for you to do the right thing and you still chose hurt. I hope everyone has considered what you are going to lose when I fight back. It will be more than me… I guarantee it…” Court documents note that a similar Facebook post directed at the victim was made following a previous pretrial conference on the Witness Tampering case as well.
Shipley’s $10,000 cash only bond has since been posted. His initial appearance is scheduled for June 25th.
