A juvenile male was injured in a shooting Monday night in Council Bluffs, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the 600 block of Damon Street shortly after 9:25 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
The injured teen was initially taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a medical facility in Omaha for additional treatment. Authorities say the injury does not appear to be life-threatening.
Investigators have not released details regarding what led to the shooting, and no information about potential suspects has been made public. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
