The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting all graduates from the past 11 years of Leadership Fairfield to attend the program’s first Alumni Social on Wednesday, May 27th at 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber office. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.
The event is designed to reconnect Leadership Fairfield graduates while gathering ideas and input from alumni about what they would like the Alumni Association to become. Organizers are encouraging attendees to help shape future opportunities and programming based on alumni interests and needs.
Potential initiatives that may be discussed include book clubs and social gatherings, regular networking events, volunteer and service opportunities, scholarship creation, continuing leadership development programs, and educational and community engagement opportunities.
Chamber Director Mendy McAdams said the goal is to let alumni drive the direction of the association. “The Chamber wants to continue supporting the leadership journey of our graduates. We want this Alumni Association to reflect what alumni truly want and value,” McAdams said.
The Leadership Fairfield Alumni Association is intended to provide member-driven opportunities focused on networking, education, volunteerism, service, and leadership development.
Because contact information may have changed over the years, the Chamber is also asking all Leadership Fairfield alumni to update their current contact information to ensure they receive future communications and event invitations. Alumni are encouraged to RSVP and update their information by emailing Mendy at Chamber@FairfieldIowa.com or Claire at Info@FairfieldIowa.com at the Chamber office.
