With the June 2 primary election less than a week away, eligible voters are being reminded to make sure they are prepared before heading to the polls.

Early voting is available through June 1 at local county auditor’s offices. On Election Day, polls will open Tuesday, June 2, at 7 a.m. and remain open until 8 p.m.

Iowans can also register to vote and cast a ballot on Election Day. Voters registering at the polls must provide proof of identity and proof of residency. Election officials encourage residents to register ahead of time at their county auditor’s office to help speed up the process on Election Day.

Voters are encouraged to confirm their polling location and bring the necessary identification before arriving at the polls.
