Ottumwa Police responded to a report of a disturbance involving an intoxicated individual
On April 28 at approximately 12:49 a.m., the Ottumwa Police Department responded to the 300 block of N. Marion Street for a report of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers identified an intoxicated individual, later identified as Jambo Wottokna, 23, of Ottumwa, who was reported to be causing a disturbance at the scene.
According to the criminal complaint, Wottokna was found at the location with the victim. Court documents indicate that Wottokna and the victim are subject to an active no-contact order. The order, originally dated February 16, 2026, has no listed end date and remains in effect. It was later modified to include an end date of April 28, 2031.
Wottokna was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Wapello County Jail. As of the time of this report, no bond or court hearing has been set.
