11th Annual Bluegrass & Old-Time Country Music Festival Comes to Drakesville

 Mark your calendars for a weekend of music, community, and fun as Lori King Productions, in partnership with the Drakesville Betterment Committee, hosts the 11th Annual Bluegrass and Old-Time Country Music Festival from April 29 through May 2, 2026, at Drakesville City Park.

This beloved annual event brings together music lovers of all ages for four days of live performances, jam sessions, workshops, and family-friendly activities—all in a relaxed outdoor setting. Admission is free, with donations welcomed.

🍽️ Festival Kickoff

The festivities begin Wednesday, April 29, with a Fish Fry from 5–7 p.m., followed by an open jam session.

Meal tickets: $15 (includes fish, potato salad, baked beans, and a drink)

**Pie and dessert and other drink options will be available for purchase.

🎵 Music & Events Schedule

  • Thursday: Open Stage at 7 p.m.
  • Friday: Stage shows begin at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday:
  • Afternoon performances: 1–5 p.m.
  • Evening shows resume at 6 p.m.
  • NEW! Workshops: 10 a.m. – Noon

Jam sessions will take place throughout the week, welcoming musicians of all skill levels. Performers are encouraged to sign up for available time slots during the festival.

  • Food concessions available starting Wednesday for Fish Fry and Thursday wit full menu.
  • Music merchandise vendors on-site
  • City-wide garage sales throughout Drakesville
  • Camping: $20 per night
  • First come, first served
  • No arrivals before April 26

Lori King and Junction 63 will host the festival, joined by a variety of talented regional musicians. With more than 20 years of experience, Joe and Lori King continue to celebrate and preserve the traditions of bluegrass and country music across Iowa and the Midwest.
