Riley Eugene Jolley, 77, of rural Bloomfield, died February 21, 2026 at his home.
He was born February 21, 1949 in Columbia, MO to George Riley and Rosa Mae Gates Jolley. He married Deborah Kay Kilgore December 21, 1970.
A graduate of Hickman High School in Columbia, he studied engineering in St. Louis. Riley served in the U.S. Army, having been stationed at Ft. Rucker, AL. He worked at Goodyear and for Pepsi in Columbia before moving to Bloomfield in 1975. He had worked at the Bloomfield Foundry before starting R & K Muffler Shop which he co-owned and operated.
Riley always loved working with cars, especially classic cars. Along with being a car enthusiast, and attending car shows, he restored classic cars for the majority of his life.
He had been a member of First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, attended the church in Pulaski and Midway Calvary Baptist Church. Riley enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a dedicated husband and father, having been involved with his sons’ Boy Scouts troops and coaching his sons’ baseball teams.
Surviving is his wife, Deb; their three sons, Christopher (Julie) Jolley of Polk City, James (Amanda) Jolley of Janesville, WI and Johnathan (Rosylene) Jolley of Nashville, TN; a grandson, Riley C. (Lakyn) Rucker; three great grandchildren, Chate, Huxley and Korbyn; his brother, Gary Jolley; and a cousin who was like a brother, David (Donna) Jacobs and their son, Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carla Thomas and half-siblings, Joe Jolley, Harold Stone, Jerry Stone, Susie Stone, Carolyn Stone and Lesker Stone.
His body has been cremated. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at their home at a future date.
