The Fairfield Elks Lodge has awarded a $3,500 Community Investment Project Grant to the Fairfield Area Soccer Association to purchase new movable goals for youth players.
The grant will help cover the cost of replacing current goals with U12-sized movable goals, providing greater flexibility for coaches and volunteers managing the soccer program.
Movable goals offer several advantages for the soccer program. They allow coaches to easily adjust field sizes to match different drills, age groups, and practice needs, creating more versatile training environments for young players.
The equipment will also improve overall field management by allowing staff to reconfigure playing areas as needed for various activities and age groups.
The Fairfield Area Soccer Association is an established 501(c)(3) organization that served over 300 young people ages 5-19 during last spring and fall seasons.
The project was made possible through a grant from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Through its Community Investments Program, the Elks National Foundation awards grants to local Elks Lodges to help strengthen their communities.
This year, the Elks National Foundation will award $6.5 million in grants to benefit Elks communities nationwide.
