William Francis Rogers, known to family and friends as Bill, was 46 years old when he disappeared under unusual and troubling circumstances in North English, Iowa.
On the night of Sunday, February 25, 2001, Rogers was last known to be at his residence in North English. That same night, his home was destroyed by fire. After the fire was extinguished, authorities searched the remains of the residence but were unable to locate Rogers or any trace of him. As a result, he was officially listed as missing by the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office.
At the time of his disappearance, Rogers was described as a white male, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing between 145 and 160 pounds. He had black hair and hazel eyes, though his eye color was distinctive—his eyes are brown, with the left eye having a green hue that can make them appear two different colors. He was balding and may have had facial hair, including a mustache, beard, or goatee.
Rogers was last seen wearing a tan jacket, a “Comfort Inn” T-shirt, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.
Although he went missing in Iowa, Rogers is also listed in the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Missing Persons Clearinghouse, indicating possible connections or leads beyond the state.
