Alan Eugene Buck 72, of Bloomfield, died at 7:15 p.m. January 2, 2026 at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
He was born January 23, 1953 in Ottumwa to Arthur and Shirley McKittrick Buck. Alan married Carol Smith and they later divorced.
Alan loved wood working, cooking, reading and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Joshua Buck (Danielle Hopwood) of Bloomfield and Brandy Buck (Joe Cefalu) of Minnesota; 4 grandchildren, Toby Buck, Shayla Buck, Noah Ruark and Rexi Ruark; siblings, Dixie (Paul) Sours, Twyla (James) Salisbury, Debra (Dave) Harris and Brian (Deana) Buck; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Diana Buck.
His body has been cremated.
A time to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
