A 27-year-old man convicted of robbery in Jefferson County has failed to return to the Davenport Work Release/OWI Center as required, according to Iowa Department of Corrections officials.
Darrian Lee Nicholson did not report back to the facility on Wednesday, December 24th, 2025, as mandated by the terms of his work release program.
Nicholson is described as a white male, 5’3″ tall, weighing approximately 157 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on August 18th, 2025.
Nicholson pleaded guilty to Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class C felony, stemming from an incident that occurred on May 16th, 2020, in the 100 block of North Main Street in Fairfield.
According to court documents, officers responded to a reported robbery where the victim stated he had been messaging a female via Facebook and agreed to meet up with her. The woman allegedly led him into an alley where Nicholson and two other male subjects attacked the victim. The victim stated all three suspects were armed with knives.
The victim sustained swelling on his forehead, a cut on his elbow, and bruising on his back. His phone and wallet were allegedly stolen by Nicholson and the two other male subjects.
A search warrant was executed at Nicholson’s apartment, where officers allegedly located the victim’s phone case, wallet, and cards that had been reported stolen.
Nicholson was sentenced to five years in prison with time served. He also received a suspended fine of $1,000.
