Eric Doll, an employee of the City of Centerville, has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending an official review of his off-duty conduct as outlined in the Centerville City Code. This decision comes in light of recent legal proceedings that necessitate a thorough and unbiased examination of the circumstances surrounding his actions.

It’s important to emphasize that this leave is a temporary measure designed to ensure a fair review process while legal matters unfold. The city’s action does not imply any final decision regarding Doll’s employment status; rather, it serves to protect the integrity of the review process. Doll retains the right to request a formal review of this administrative leave, and his employment status will be reassessed once the court proceedings are concluded.

Doll was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card, involving an amount under $1,500. The Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office reported that Doll allegedly used a debit or credit card belonging to another individual without authorization on three separate occasions between October 17 and November 13, 2025, accumulating a total of $51.08. Following his arrest, Doll was released from the Appanoose County Jail after posting bond.

It is crucial to note that these allegations are unrelated to Doll’s employment with the City of Centerville. As with any criminal charge, it is essential to remember that Doll is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The city remains committed to ensuring a fair review process during this time.
