A man wanted for murder in Guatemala has been arrested in Des Moines, Iowa. He originally entered the U.S. illegally in 2019 and was ordered to be removed by an immigration judge.
Rather than face justice in Guatemala, he stayed in the U.S. for six years. U.S. Border Patrol located him in Des Moines, and he is now in ICE custody awaiting deportation. Residents can rest easier knowing he is no longer at large in their community.
