Carolyn Yvonne Rhoades, 80, of Ottumwa died at 3:20 p.m. November 19, 2025 at Ridgewood Specialty Care.
She was born September 13, 1945 in Ottumwa to Oakley and Dorothy Kopp Caskey. Carolyn married James L Rhoades in 1985 and he preceded her in death June 13, 1994.
Growing up in Ottumwa Carolyn took great pride in raising her family. Throughout her life she lived in various places including Davenport and Seymour before moving back to Ottumwa.
Carolyn enjoyed playing card games, BINGO and camping. She loved Alan Jackson and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving is her daughter, Jane Ann Morford of Ottumwa; 4 sons, Charles (Cheryl) Morford II of Ottumwa, Larry (Toni) Morford of Davenport, Ronald Morford and Roger Morford both of Seymour; 10 grandchildren, Gregory Miller, Aidan Miller, Stephanie (Chris) Shute, Brittany Ybarra, Charles Morford III, Bill Morford, Joseph Morford, Ariel Morford, Dakota Hunter and Clotine Morford; 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Linda Caskey and Melodie Knights.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandsons, William Jaster and Dalton Morford; siblings, Oakley Gail, Joan Lamar, Holly Lueders, Delana Delp, Ellen Holts and Allen Lee Caskey.
Her body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
