The Jefferson County Engineer’s Office has announced that work on the BNSF underpass along Vetch Boulevard near Lockridge will begin Monday, October 6th.
According to County Engineer DeWayne Heintz, the project is expected to take two to three weeks to complete. A contractor will set up a detour route, and dust control measures will be applied at homes and intersections along the detour.
The project is being completed by E80 Plus Constructors on behalf of BNSF Railway to repair damage to the railroad structure.
Drivers should plan ahead for delays and detours while work is underway.
