Beverly Joy Cole, 87, of Ottumwa passed away at 3:14 p.m. October 28, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa.
She was born February 2, 1938 in Eldon to Harry C. and Audrey B. Snook Bostwick. Beverly married Fred Marvin Cole August 3, 1957 in Eldon and he preceded her in death September 18, 2005.
Growing up in Eldon she moved to Ottumwa in 1964. She was a wife and a mother. She loved God and was very strong in her faith. She had a peaceful and loving nature and was loved by many. She attended Last Days Ministries where she was very devoted and always participated.
Surviving are her children, Alan Cole, Dewain (Melissa) Cole, Julie Cole all of Ottumwa, Janice Carlson and Sheryl Cole of Sioux Falls, SD; 9 grandchildren, Kristin Easton, Timothy Easton, Kourtney (Colbey) Slocum, Luke Carlson, Noah Carlson, Andrew (Lexi) Cole, Michael Cole (Emily), Gage Cole (Kaylee Bix) and Kendra Cole; along with 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Katherine Manley, Naomi Keasling, Hannah Marcene Kuhns and Carol Holmes; brothers, Charles Bostwick, Dewitt Bostwick and Richard Bostwick; a granddaughter, Susan E. Buchanan, with whom she shared a birthday.
Visitation will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday November 2nd at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday November 3rd at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
