Michael F. Wymer, 78, a resident of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Fairfield Foursquare Church in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Little League and sent to the family at 1103 S. 2nd St. Fairfield, Iowa 52556. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family.
Mike was born August 21, 1947 in Fairfield, the son of Leland and Naomi (Bostwick) Wymer. Mike served his country in the United States Army. He married Justine Keller, September 19, 1980 in Fairfield.
Mike owned and operated Wymer Masonry and Concrete for over 45 years. He was actively involved in his church and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Chiefs fan. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and lovedattending their events.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Justine; children, Brittany (Jim Peers) Wymer of Westfield, Massachusetts, Tiffany (Josh) Eklund of Fairfield, Katie (Seth) Laux of New London, Jason (Kaylynn) Wymer of Fairfield, and Amy Conrad; grandchildren, Hunter Cecil, Juliana Gifford, Hollander Peers, Haylee, Wyatt, and Nora Eklund, Emma, Kinsley, and Chase Laux, Oliver, Willow, and Oakley Wymer, Brecklynn Short, Robbie Singer, and Cheyene Conrad; siblings, Ronald, Debbie, Becky, and Tom; father-in-law, David Keller; sister-in-law, Rochelle (Mark) Stephens; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chuck; and nephew, Mason Stephens.
