Priscilla Docekal-Drewry, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Priscilla’s life was a beautiful testimony to her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She prayed, worshiped, and walked through life with quiet strength and deep trust in God’s plan.

She poured her heart into raising her children and supporting her grandchildren with love, patience, and wisdom rooted in Scripture. She modeled humility, forgiveness, and joy in both the ordinary and difficult moments of life.

Priscilla is survived by her children: Carolee (Ben) Lunsford, Dan (Megan) Docekal, Laurie (Ray) Lamb, Debbie Sue (Troy) Lusk, Travis Drewry, and Robert (Abbi) Drewry; grandchildren: Ramie (Noran) Basrawi, Emily Lunsford, Hannah Morrison, Suzeanne Basrawi, Anna (Justin) Huntley, Danielle (Nathan) Garrison, Klayton (Hailey) Lunsford, Hailey Drewry, Drake Drewry, Isaac Drewry, Owen Drewry, Taylor Bettin, Temperance Bettin, Zachariah Bettin, Landyn Drewry, Brenlea Drewry, and 11 great-grandchildren—a close-knit family who will forever be grateful for the foundation she laid.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Charles Docekal and Charlie Drewry; her daughter, Charla Drewry; her brother, Paul Saylor, and her parents, Ethel and Robert Saylor. We take comfort in knowing they are now reunited in heaven.

Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Friday, August 8th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.

A funeral service to celebrate Priscilla’s life and faith will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 9th, at Reece Funeral Home with  Pastor Victor Knowles officiating.

Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery west of Ottumwa.
