A Knoxville woman is facing several serious charges after authorities say she was caught driving while intoxicated with children in her car.
According to court records, 24-year-old Emily DeMoss was pulled over in Marion County and showed signs of impairment, including bloodshot eyes and emotional instability. She reportedly agreed to sobriety tests and registered a blood alcohol level of .168—more than twice the legal limit.
Police say several children were passengers in the vehicle at the time.
DeMoss now faces charges including OWI – Second Offense, three counts of Child Endangerment, and three counts of Neglect or Abandonment of a Dependent Person.
