In observance of Independence Day, several City of Ottumwa departments and services will be closed or operating under adjusted schedules:
- City Hall offices will be closed Friday, July 4.
- Ottumwa Water and Hydro offices will be closed.
- Cemetery offices at Ottumwa, Calvary, and Jewish cemeteries will also be closed.
- Ottumwa Public Library will not be open that day.
- Ottumwa/Wapello Recycling Center and Landfill will be closed Friday.
Trash & Recycling:
- Friday trash routes will be picked up Thursday, July 3 instead.
- All yard waste and bulky item pickups for both north and south sides will be done Tuesday, July 1 — call Bridge City Sanitation at 641-682-1700 by June 30 to schedule.
- County trash and recycling will also be collected Tuesday, July 1.
The Beach Ottumwa will remain open with normal hours for both indoor and outdoor swim areas. Weather may affect outdoor park hours.
