Former Iowa Hawkeye football star and current Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean is giving back to his home state this summer with two major community events, including a celebrity softball game and a youth football camp.

On Sunday, June 1, DeJean teams up with Octane Sports to host the Cooper DeJean All-Star Celebrity Softball Game at Principal Park, home of the Iowa Cubs. DeJean will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at 1:08 PM, just before the I-Cubs game. The softball game will follow immediately after, and admission is included with your Iowa Cubs game ticket. Gates open at noon.

DeJean will lead one all-star softball team, with former Hawkeye teammate and current Denver Broncos cornerback Riley Moss captaining the other. The event features a star-studded lineup of more than 19 current and former professional football players, including AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Reed Blankenship, Darius Slay Jr., Jay Higgins, CJ Beathard, Sam Ehlinger, and Dallas Clark.

A live memorabilia auction will also take place, featuring signed gear, game-worn items, and one-of-a-kind experiences — such as a private hangout and Eagles game tickets with Cooper himself. All proceeds will benefit the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
