A multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus yesterday on Hwy 163 west of Pella injured two people and temporarily shut down the highway.
According to officials, a Lincoln Navigator was rear-ended while turning, causing it to overturn and hit a Pella school bus carrying the girls soccer team.
Two passengers in the Navigator were injured—one flown to Mercy Des Moines, another taken to Pella Regional. Thankfully, no injuries were reported among students or the bus driver.
Pella vs. Newton girls soccer match was postponed.
