Heartland Humane Society (HHS) is inviting the public to lace up their walking shoes and light up the night at the 2nd Annual Walk & Glow for HHS, taking place on Saturday, May 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Jimmy Jones Shelter in Ottumwa.
The event, part of HHS’s ongoing Mission Pawsible fundraising campaign, supports the organization’s work as a no-kill animal shelter serving the Ottumwa community and surrounding areas.
Participants will kick off the evening by registering and picking up their event shirts at 6:00 p.m. The night will be filled with entertainment, including games, live music, and complimentary drinks. Food trucks will also be on site, offering a variety of food available for purchase.
Organizers encourage community members of all ages to join the fun-filled evening in support of a great cause. “It’s a chance to come together, have a great time, and make a difference for the animals in our care,” said a spokesperson for Heartland Humane Society.
The shelter hopes this year’s Glow Walk will build on the success of its inaugural event and continue raising vital funds to support the animals that depend on the organization for food, shelter, and medical care.
