Chef Anthony Johnson of Brick Street Grille Johnson-Style in Albia has been recognized at the Iowa Restaurant Association’s 2026 Culinary Competition, earning the award for “Most Innovative Local Ingredients.”
Johnson received the recognition for his creative dish, “Fall In Love with Iowa Noodle-less Lasagna,” which highlighted the use of local ingredients in an innovative take on a classic favorite.
The 2026 Culinary Competition brought together culinary professionals to showcase their cooking skills, creativity and use of ingredients. Johnson’s award recognizes his approach to developing a dish that celebrates Iowa’s local food offerings.
Brick Street Grille Johnson-Style, located in Albia, congratulates Chef Johnson on his achievement and recognition in this year’s competition.
