Richard Garcia Lira, 28, of St. Paul, MN, formerly of Ottumwa died January 14, 2025 at his home.
He was born February 17, 1996 in Sioux City, IA to Jose and Teresa Garcia Lira.
Richard was a 2014 Ottumwa High School graduate. He was an architect for IMT in Des Moines.
He loved playing computer games, watching WWE wrestling, playing piano in church, going to coffee shops, early 2000’s music, meeting new people and he loved volunteering to help others where he would help anyone.
Surviving are his parents, Jose and Teresa Garcia Lira; his siblings, Teresa Lira, Maik Lira, Maria Lira, Jose Lira Jr., Elizabeth Lira, David Lira, Melissa Lira and Jazmine Lira.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Natasha Lira; and a cousin, Victor Amaro.
Visitation with the family present will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, January 20th at Reece Funeral Home. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 20th at Reece Funeral Home with Father Ben Snyder presiding. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
