Pat, a spirited soul, an enchanting storyteller, and a lover of life’s simple pleasures, passed away on January 6, 2025. She spent her final years in the quiet town of Albia, Iowa, creating memories that will always be cherished by those who were fortunate to have known her. In her professional life, Pat worked in magazine sales and was a dedicated caregiver, showing her flexibility and adaptability. Pat loved to travel, and felt like she was a professional bass fisher. She also embraced the world of online shopping, enjoying finding the perfect item from the comfort of her home. However, her greatest passion was her love for books. She was an avid reader, often losing herself in the captivating narratives and complex characters that came alive on the pages. Gifted with a knack for storytelling, Pat was the life of any gathering. She had a unique ability to weave tales that fascinated, captivated, and entertained. Her stories were filled with warmth and humor, often leaving her audience hanging on her every word. She had an uncanny ability to transform the mundane into the extraordinary, making every story she told a memorable one. Her love for life, her laughter, and her stories will be dearly missed. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, John Louis Konen and Margarette Ann Courtright Konen. She is survived by her siblings, Kay Landrey, Judy Brocksmith, Janet Stevens, Jonelle Byrd, Lisa Fliam, and John M Konen and her children, Keith (Lauri) McGuyer, JJ (Larry) Miller, Candi McGuyer.
