Linda Joyce Morris, 79, of Ottumwa died at 12:50 a.m. January 2, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 21, 1945 to Arthur and Viola Mary Thrill Copple. Linda married Dale Morris June 26, 1966.
A 1964 graduate of Ottumwa High School she later attended Iowa School of Beauty graduating in 1966. Linda owned and operated Linda’s Beauty and held her license until 1988. She went on to work in food service at Wildwood Elementary and later at Evans Middle School retiring in 2005. Linda then worked at Curves until 2009.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Linda was a member of Heartland Boot Scooters and WaKeMa Motorcycle Club.
Linda was an avid cake maker, making wedding cakes and birthday cakes.
Surviving is her husband, Dale; their children, Dustin (Delayne) Morris of Ruskin, FL, and Carissa (Michael) Ullrick of Urbandale; grandchildren, Devin Morris, Alexander Ullrick, Maya Ullrick; siblings, Sue Harsh of Sioux Falls, SD, Frank Copple, Richard (Jane) Copple, and Ted (Ira) Copple all of Pheonix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Rupe; brothers, David Copple and Donald Copple and her brother-in-law, Ray Harsh.
Her body has been cremated.
A time to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
