Daizraleigh Leona Blessing Bell, 9, of Mt. Pleasant, died January 19, 2025 at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born December 31, 2015 to Natalie Shaunice Bell and Dustin Boone. She was later adopted and raised by her grandfather, Dan Arthur Bell.

Daizy was currently a 3rd grade student at Blackhawk Elementary School in Burlington where she was part of the special-ed program. She was blessed with wonderful teachers and staff at school as well as staff from Great River Nursing and Physical Therapy department that helped care for her at home. The specialty team at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital also were amazing in their care for Daizy.

Daizy was very observant, loved to listen and enjoyed having stories read to her. She loved sitting in the sun showing off one of her various styles of sunglasses as well as swimming. Daizy enjoyed listening to Michael Jackson and watching her favorite TV channel, IPTV. She especially loved to attend family events and going fishing with her dad-Papa Dan, who was her best friend and caregiver. She also had a great bond with her great-grandmother.

Surviving is her dad, Dan Bell of Mt. Pleasant; her biological father, Dustin Boone; her siblings, Crailean Coleman, and Dustmarllas B-Young; grandparents, Martha Bell, Tycena Young Corea, Elroy Boone,

and Margaret Ellis; aunts, Nakia (Josh) Arnett, Cheyanne (Tyler) Young, Carisia Rendon, Brisa Rendon, Anyiah Rendon, Lizzy (Tarrance) Dawson and Alexsus Boone; uncles, Dan Dallas Bell, and Manuel Rendon (Spencer Barnes); great-grandparents, Martin Jacobs, Melevinna Bell, Betty Windham Bell,; great-aunts, Katherine (James) Dial Adams, Carolyn Bell, Sheila Bell, Kathy Jacobs, Myra (Greg) Thomas, Melissa (Bob) Jacobs Bence and Maureen Jacobs; great-uncles, Elverett “Al” Dial, Stephen Dial, Jimmy Clark, Sam Clark, Dan Antwaun (Raven) Bell, Ronnie Windham and Maurice (Marlyn) Jacobs; great-great-aunt, Debbie Young; great-great-uncles, James Henry Little, Tom (Kay) Walter, Lyman (Linda) Walter and Robert Jacobs; and many cousins who were a major part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Natalie Bell; great-grandparents, Dan A. Bell Sr., Donna Young, Dorothy Jacobs, Nola and Wayne Wheller, Melvin Ellis and Elizabeth Manning; great-uncles, Kenneth Lee Thornton and Martin Dale Jacobs; great-great-grandparents, Georgia and Kenny Young, Pearl Little, Anna Bertha Foy, Rufus Bell and Willie D. Dial; great-great-aunts, Betty Bell, Hattie P. Dial and Mary Louise Foy; great-great-uncles, Paul Dallas Bell, William Bell, Robert Foy, Jim Foy, Henry Lee Dial and Ben D. Dial.

Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Monday, January 27th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 28th at First Pentecostal Assembly of God with Pastor Shane Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
