Patricia Kay Hunt Haney, 88, of Fairfield, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated, and no services will be held. Cards may be sent to Mari Ann Weissheier at 1720 Pleasant Plain Road, Fairfield, IA 52556
Patricia was born on June 11, 1938, in Ohio to Tom and Ruth Hunt and graduated from Fairfield High School. She married Merle Haney in 1955. A generous supporter of the churches she attended, Patricia donated many books to their libraries.
Left to honor her are her children,Mari Ann (John) Weissheier of Fairfield, Pam (Dane) Long of Tennessee and Terry Haney of Des Moines; her brothers, Bob Hunt (Maureen), Dick Hunt (Debbie), and Joe Hunt (Jane); her sister, Nancy Fleming (John); her sister-in-law, Sandra Hunt; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ruth Hunt; her brother, Jim Hunt; and her son, Tim Haney.
