OTTUMWA – Randy Lee Anderson, 66, of Ottumwa, died at 11:10 a.m. December 15, 2024 at his home.
He was born July 22, 1958 in Ottumwa to Thomas Samuel “Tommy” and Juanita Leonard Anderson, Jr. He married Theresa Allen in 1975 and they later divorced.
A resident of Ottumwa all of his life, Randy had attended Ottumwa High School.
He enjoyed listening to music, watching movie classics, cooking and riding his mountain bike. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his children, Naythen Anderson of Ottumwa, Stephanie (Brian) Bates of Urbandale and Mark McDowell of Ottumwa; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren his mother, Juanita Anderson of Ottumwa; 3 siblings, Brenda Carnes and James Anderson both of Ottumwa, Shari (Tommy) Bedford of Eldon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Anderson, Jr.; a brother, Tom “Tuck” Anderson; an infant sister.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19th, at Reece Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Inurnment will be Memorial Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
