Fred John Vroegh, 69, of Eldon, died at 12:45 a.m. November 7, 2024 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
He was born April 1, 1955 in Oskaloosa to Bert and Joan Netz Vroegh. Fred married Mildred “Millie” Kopp on March 5, 2005.
A 1973 graduate of Eddyville High School, Fred earned an A.A. degree in farm technology from Indian Hills Community College. He farmed for various farmers for 32 years and worked for Ajinomoto USA for 20 years, retiring in December 2021.
While growing up, Fred attended Faith Community Church in Eddyville.
Surviving is his wife, Millie; his children, Dustin Vroegh of Cedar Rapids, Jamie (Shane Bohlken) Vroegh of Monticello and Amy (Kenny) Seeley; 11 grandchildren, Kinzlee, Rece, Brennan, Isaac, Maddie, Taylor, Allie, Whitney, Lexus, Caine and Koby; great-grandson, Finley; siblings, Bruce (Kellie) Vroegh and Nancine Vroegh; sister-in-law, Vicki Vroegh; many nieces and nephews; and helped raise Shannon, Shana, Stephanie and Mary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale Vroegh and Millie’s daughter, Beth McCoy.
Visitation will be open at 10 a.m. Monday, November 11th with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 12th at Reece Funeral Home with Richard Lettington officiating.
Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
