Allen James Heasley, 77, of Lewisville, TX, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 11:25 a.m. October 28, 2024.
He was born June 6, 1947 in Ottumwa to James Shepherd and Edna M. Rogers Heasley.
A veteran of the US Army, Allen was stationed in Isfanhan, Arabia where he instructed Iranian military personnel in the maintenance of Bell Helicopters. After graduating from Indian Hills Community College in 1976, Allen worked as a shakedown inspector for McDonnell Douglas, Cessna in the experimental division, a Cessna dealer in Texas, Bell Helicopter and for American Airlines.
Surviving are his children, James Allen (Stacey) Heasley of Bloomfield and Ann (Michael) Davidson of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Military honors and burial have taken place in Ottumwa Cemetery.
