Tina Amanda Haynes, 59, of Stockport, IA passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date. Tina Amanda Haynes was born on March 14, 1965, in New York and later came with her family to Iowa. She was a graduate of Harmony High School in 1983 and married the love of her life, Doug Haynes, on December 29, 1984. The couple made their home in Bonaparte for several years before moving to rural Stockport, IA. Tina returned to education later in life and achieved her associate’s degree, an accomplishment that brought her immense pride.
Tina’s work life was varied, initially involving several different factory jobs in Mt. Pleasant before eventually working retail, where she was known for her friendliness and caring nature. She also worked for many years as a caretaker at Morris Park.
Tina loved to craft and enjoyed spending time on her crafting projects and paper dolls. Her love of animals, particularly cats, resonated through her life, providing companionship and comfort in her quieter moments. Tina relished every opportunity to be with people, whether it was singing, enjoying parties, or simply spending precious time with her family and friends.
Tina leaves behind a loving legacy that includes her parents, Charles Twiss and Janet Stanton; her husband, Doug Haynes, her children, Danielle (Stuart) Arkon, Bryce Haynes, and Spencer Haynes; her seven grandchildren, Allison, Rose, Mollie, Rowan, Riddick, Rilea, and Lily; her brothers, Marty (Cynthia) Twiss and Mickey Twiss; and her sisters, Kelly McIntyre and Tammy (Donny) Jennings. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her stepmom, Erma Twiss.
