In a brief ceremony Monday morning, Dan Reid was sworn in as an Ottumwa City Council member.
According to the City of Ottumwa, Reid will serve the remainder of the term of a seat that Sandra Pope vacated in December 2023. Cyan Bossou was appointed to fill the seat in January 2024. Reid defeated Bossou in a special election that was held on September 10.
Reid’s first meeting as a city councilman will be October 1.
