The Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra’s annual fall concert, Something Old–Something New, will be held Saturday evening, October 5th, 7:30 pm at Indian Hills St. John Auditorium. The concert kicks off their exciting Season 38, aptly titled “Music Gives Flight to the Imagination.” The audience can expect to enjoy pieces by Ormandy, Mozart, Brahms, Moncayo and more. Additionally, Kristen Ronning will be the featured soloist with the orchestra that evening, sure to wow concert-goers with her talents on Mozart’s Horn Concerto #3 in Eb Major.
To add to the festive evening, there will be a pre-concert mixer beginning at 6:30 pm, which will be held just inside the newly renovated Indian Hills Community College entry foyer. Wine will be served (free will donations appreciated). Season tickets, along with tickets for the concert that evening, will be available for purchase at that time as well.
Tickets for Something Old–Something New are $30 and can be purchased at the door or online through September 30 at ottumwasymphonyorchestra.org. Kids’ admission is free.
