Leonard Earl Downing, 83, of Ottumwa, died at 1:28 p.m. September 15, 2024 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
He was born October 7, 1940 to Fred Earl and Arminta Jarvis Downing. He married Bertha Chichester in 2001 and she preceded him in death on September 22, 2020.
He was a member of East End Pentecostal Church.
Leonard had worked at Goodwill and he liked putting puzzles together.
Surviving are nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Donna Nixon, brothers-in-law, Terry Chichester and Ralph Chichester.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Charles, Neil, James, Frank, Larry, Francis and Floyd Downing.
His body has been cremated and no services are planned.
