A ribbon-cutting celebration for the new Dan Staggs Tennis Courts in Ottumwa will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. The collaboration of the Ottumwa Community School District, the City of Ottumwa, and Friends of Ottumwa’s Parks are thrilled to present the state-of-the-art 8-court tennis complex developed for our community, located near Ottumwa High School, between Hackberry Street and Center Avenue.
The ribbon cutting will start at noon at the tennis court entrance. Statements will be delivered by each of its partners, and refreshments will be served. This event will include the Greater Ottumwa Partners In Progress. The community is invited to attend.
The Friends of Ottumwa’s Parks group is taking the lead in securing additional funds to complete project amenities such as a viewing area, bleachers, gazebo, parking, etc. By supporting this project, you are investing in the health, growth, and future success of Ottumwa, Iowa.
