Raymond LoRoy VanDerHorst, 75, of Ottumwa, went to heaven August 22, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa.
He was born June 8, 1949 in Ottumwa to Walter and Helen Jordan VanDerHorst.
A 1969 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Raymond had worked for Boitnott Enterprises on the sanitation truck and also at TENCO Industries.
Surviving is his sister, Joyce Coberley; a brother, Randy VanDerHorst; nieces and nephew, Desi McDoungh, Nicole VanDerHorst and Dan Coberley; and great-niece and great-nephew, Ariel Athiede; and Grady McDoungh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; brother, Robert VanDerHorst; half-siblings, George, Jay and William VanDerHorst and Jennie Saner; and niece, Andrea VanDerHorst.
His body has been cremated. No services are planned.
